Congratulations on your new baby, and I’m happy to welcome you to my page!
Here’s what you need to bring to the photoshoot:
- Wet wipes
- A spare nappy
- A pacifier (even if you don’t plan to use one regularly — it can be a lifesaver during the session)
- A blanket for feeding or cuddling
- A bottle of milk or formula if you’re not breastfeeding
- A change of clothes for the baby (just in case)
- A snack and some quiet toys for older siblings (if they’re joining)
- About an hour before I arrive, try to keep your baby awake — this increases the chances that they’ll sleep well during the session. When you arrive at the studio, you’ll have time to feed your baby. The session will go more smoothly if your baby is full and asleep.
Before we start…
I always start the session with family and sibling photos. That’s why it’s important to think about what style you like and choose your outfits — and your baby’s outfit — accordingly. Do you prefer light and airy photos, or deeper and richer tones? What colours do you love? And what colours are in your home interior, especially if you’re planning to decorate your walls with the photos later on?
Low-key photos look elegant and timeless. I often deliver them in both colour and black & white versions.

Light-key photographs give airiness and tenderness to photographs technique that gives images a clean and vibrant appearance.

Sibling Photos — Welcoming a New Baby Together
The arrival of a new baby is a big moment for the whole family — especially for big brothers and sisters. It’s the start of a new chapter, full of love, change, and responsibility.Help your older children feel prepared and excited: explain how important their role is, encourage them, and maybe offer a little reward for being patient and kind during the session. These photos will capture the very beginning of their special bond — filled with love, pride, and those unforgettable first moments together.

How to Prepare for Your Photoshoot: Outfit Tips
- When choosing your outfits, start with 2–3 colours. Pick shades that will complement the colour you’ve chosen for your newborn.
- Avoid logos or graphics on clothing, even small ones like a Nike checkmark or a Polo horse — they can be distracting in photos.
- Trendy clothes can look great in the moment, but consider classic styles that will still look good in 15 years. Avoid neon colours.
- Don’t forget about shoes. Make sure they’re comfortable. For siblings, socks are perfectly fine.
- Accessories are not necessary — try to keep them minimal.
- Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and beautiful.
- Even if makeup isn’t your usual thing, I highly recommend wearing a bit so you look and feel your best.
- Iron or steam your clothes in advance to make sure you look neat and polished.

Photoshoot
We usually start the session with feeding and dressing. We’ll put on the outfit you’ve chosen for your baby, and then begin the photoshoot. Depending on your baby’s mood, I sometimes photograph them wrapped. If your baby is calm and relaxed, we may also take some photos them unwrapped and dressed in nice outfit. Either way, your photos will be beautiful.

What types of photos do I take?
I don’t do complicated posing — I prefer natural positions for the baby. I love it when babies behave freely and naturally.
I always use a variety of baskets and backdrops, from the simplest to more creative ones, and we try different setups to see where your baby feels most comfortable.
It’s important to understand that your newborn already has their own little personality, so sometimes we need to adjust the plan during the session.
